5th Project

This is my master artist interpretation. I took Vincent Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" and made it my own. My favorite thing about this piece that I created is my use of vibrant colors in the vase. The sunflowers are more surrealism than realism, but that's a good thing because that's how Van Gogh's work was as well. I say this about my piece because you can tell that the sunflowers are sunflowers but they aren't the most realistic sunflowers. They don't have very much detail and they don't accurately portray what a sunflower really looks like. The mediums I used to create this piece are marker and colored pencil. I first sketched everything out in pencil. The principles and elements of design I used in this piece are color, shape, form, symmetry, balance, & harmony. Reference picture is posted below.
