Choice Project

This was my project of choice. I used chalk pastel and baby oil to blend. I was inspired by our beautiful Florida palm trees and sunsets. I think I did a pretty good job blending and creating a gradient between the colors. I really like how the red goes to orange-it just looks so pretty and reminds me of when you go to the beach and look out at the sky above the water and the sun looks like a big ball of fire. I think this was a good project for me because I enjoyed creating it and got practice with chalk pastel in the process. The elements and principles of design I used were hue or gradient (through the colors in the background behind the palm trees), blending/shading, color, line, shape, and form.
